There's many dogs to chose from, small to large, passive or bully, ornimental to energtic. Our breed is the later of those options. As we all know our love for our dogs come from how we can relate to them. They give us a lot more than companionship, they give us all they got and in return so should we. I see my dogs as family more than just dogs, b/c "there's a person inside each one of them". With just one look or one nudge with there nose, they tell us what there thinking or how there feeling.
